There is an internal non replaceable fuse in these things, if it is only 14 months old take it back to where you purchased it from, it should last a lot longer than than, let us know how you get on.

When you say "non replaceable".....how non replaceable is it? How about soldering in a fuse holder....?? I know what I would do;)

Don’t laugh, but I did that, switched the bloody thing on, it went bang, knocked the lights out, and sat smouldering on the bench, get it back to a dealer.

So the fuse blew to protect the upstream cabling but was caused by a downstream fault which replacing the fuse did not fix.

I believe that Father Christmas, the Christmas Fairies and the Reindeers have left Stihl and taken residence at Husqvarna Sweden hence the very positive result. I also believe that one of Santas helpers is a member on here;)

Good result and thanks for the update.

The good elf  Steve? 👍
