IMO Stihl's virtual monopoly with the MS200T has led to them taking their eye off the ball. Loads of plastic bits compared to O2O (weight/cost saving), carb issues, longevity issues etc.

Sort it out Andreas. It's not like you haven't put your prices up or anything.

Would love to see a genuine contender wipe away that arrogant Germanic smirk....

Would be nice for some real quality to shine through.I have gone the echo route(for reductions/light work including conny hedge),that's holding up well so far,be interested in how you get on with the solo.:001_smile:

Oleo Mac seemed to lack power ? if I,m right .

seemed good on power ,it was not a bad saw it was smaller than the 024 but was fine on power it was penuts new just made me think about buying a bigger pro saw that they do but parts would be a night mare and im pretty good at breaking saws!

well said mate,i'm still stihl at heart but my patience is thin, the tractor garage in my village is an echo dealer and i'm gonna give them a try for one saw come spring, not sure which yet but the deal will be good.i would personally like to see the arrogant german smirk back on top,cos when they are you can't touch em,the balls in their court :001_smile:

Thats list price, no one in the trade pays that, you should get at least 20% off that.

Yeah I get a good discount off my local Stihl and Husky dealers . Just fancy a change and all Ive heard so far is good news . Parts 24 /48 hrs away probably a tad longer really . Exhaust covers a bit plastic although tougher than the Husky .

Well shes arrived . That is the Solo saw of course in a lovely red box . Anyway as said came with 2 chains and a 14" bar. Little tool kit and plug spanner screwdriver and nice manual . I put her together and she went second pull . Ticks over lovely has oooddles of power. Shes got her first day tomorrow dirty old pops . Only down fall is where you attach your strop tis a bit o plastic and thin to boot .
