Climbing trees, chainsaws...what else could you ask for!? The satisfaction when you get to ground, undo your ropes, take a slow walk away then turn around, look at the tree and say "oh s**t, wrong one!" Hopefully you'll say to y'self "fantastic!" and have a sense of self satisfaction:001_smile:

Dont get me wrong, I really do love my job but i know if i won the lottery id never touch a tree again :laugh1: In fact id PAY other people to work on my trees!!

So although its great and i love it and i cant ever see myself doing anything else, i suppose i only do it for the money!

for the hours i put in the money is bad but i love it!... how many peole can say that about there job???

If i won the lottery i would do it with better gear and more holidays!

was thinking about this alot today... i love it, i really do,the thing that lost me years ago though was working my guts out and running crews for people who took all the benifit now i turn over a third of what i used to in a day But two thirds of that is mine!

i think the small things amount to alot with this work. workmates you can have a laugh with, customers that are really pleased with the work, views from the tree - just some of the many things.

this is me talking after just over a year in the industry, so check back in 20 years to see what makes me tick.
