I saw a bloke being interviewed and he said he would try the Tories as they had nothing to lose. Boris may just try and keep them blue by throwing them some investment but time will tell

Why labour put in a Remain candidate is beyond me

If any chance of investment coming to a region is probably a good reason to voted for those that will decide where money will be spent I would have thought, Labour also seems to be more of a party of the WOKE and student community these days and at odds with many working class voters who have been drifting away from the party for years.

i'm "Labour" but i have voted differently past two elections. i don't live in Hartlepool but i must admit i might have voted Tory, not cos of Boris but to try and get some investment in

What worries me is the tories have just been given the big thumbs up from the people. We have said we are happy with a leader who at the start of the pandemic chose to let 100 of thousands of us die through herd immunity to save the economy (thankfully was forced out of this option) , who lies for a pastime and has been sacked from multiple job for lying and has shown no moral compass and no humility. If the old adage is right and in a democracy you get the leadership you deserve we as a society are well and truly screwed

One of the biggest problems, is that realistically there is only the Tories and labour that can get in. Voting for all the independents, obscure and anyone else is really just a vote for one of the main two. It's the same here in Barnsley.

A very astute Hartlepool voter was on praising the Tories because they have 9 food banks now, and didn't have any under Labour
