Never had piles personally but had crabs once from a bird in scotland. 😖

Surely if the tree has been cut down and the stump poisoned to kill it and prevent any regrowth, then there would be no need to pile the foundations or grind the stump. Even splashing out on a few ecoplugs would be cheap enough and demonstrate it has been done “properly”...

I was thinking the same regarding the stump, I will try and get them to leave it and just throw some poison on

 

the tree removal is being done in order to remove the need to pile the foundations

What part of London? Also, they almost always insist on stump grinding for some reason. 

 

We have felled many trees at various properties to allow the homeowner to save on the cost of having piles and the engineers/architects have always specified to grind the stump.

 

If North London we can get it done for £2k inc vat if you have side access. Would need to see a pic of the base/stump to confirm that price.
