Rennes, Brittany.

Social housing shaded in the Summer by these planes trimmed into a giant hedge.

Quite a common around the city.

Images taken Saturday 13th Feb.

Despite there being a large open air market around the corner the city feels deserted in the sub zero temperatures.

rear doubles to aid stability i guess as it must be very unwieldy at full stretch

I have and still use flail hedge cutter and have used them on slopes were I have had to put arm on ground to stop whole lot tipping over.
