Er - no but I can't wait for the video!

Not very helpful - sorry ?

To be a bit more constructive... I'd say that successful chipping of that dreadful foliage would depend on the chipper being able to grab a tip via a powered infeed roller or two while you jump out of the way.  Feeding the stuff into a gravity fed machine would be a form of torture I'd say.  But if you do it I wish you the best of luck.

A couple years back I spent 2 full 8hr days chipping gorse with my Greenmech CS100 - that was sore but do-able! :vollkommenauf:

Sorry if it’s been mentioned before but I’m looking at purchasing a Jansen gts1500, just interested to know how easily they are to take on and off a truck with ramps, by myself or with another pair of hands, what’s not good to put through them and what eats it up, also never run a petrol chipper so interested in how economical they are to.
Thanks all.

Can anyone help??

Bought a cs100 few weeks back, tried chipping some bay this weekend and it near enough blocked instantly.

Thought I'd take a look at the blades, spun the drum and the bearings have shat themselves also there is way too much play with the drum.

Can anyone recommend what needs replacing and if it is an easy fix?

I've taken a set of balls like that out of my MS500, was making a bad noise. Bearings and blades needed, change the belts while at it. Anvils were damaged so turned to the next edge. Have a look if the blade bolts are ok.

You might get away with turning the blades round but they possibly have chunks missing. I used a grinder and some kitchen scales to even the balance on mine as I was a bit wary to put brand new ones in to test, and actually they were fine.

Not really difficult, trickiest part for me was removing old bearings as no way to get a puller behind them so just ground almost through and split with chisel.

Uh oh! Bearing is US, quite rare too. If you are lucky, two bearings and job is a good un! Hopefully shaft is okay, blades and shear bars need checking too. Call GreenMech or take it to your local GM dealer.
