Do you know how old the chipper is...?

Bought it 2n hand from a large estate, was in excellent condition as they didn't have much use for it. No idea on age though.

Double check there's no loose/snapped bolts on the machine :sneaky2:

Took drum off last night after hearing noise on site yesterday, changed blades why I was at it, gave it a run at full revs and was all good, took it to job today and was noisy again :confused1:

You can tell the age from the serial number plate, it's stamped on where it says 'ce' or from the actual serial number , i.e. 10145 would be a 2010 build.

The serial plate is fitted on top of the chassis just to the side of the engine on the opposite side to the drive belts..:001_smile:

So you had to buy new drum or get it re welded?

On both occasions G.M sent a replacement 'cassette' out to Frenchy France.

Could not fault the aftersales service I recieved from G.M so I am frequently disappointed by the level of care I recieve from other players in this industry.

G.M setting the bar so high...

Trying to clear that elusive piece of small diameter branch that gets stuck parallel with the blades/drum (left after not clearing the shute from an earlier session ) that stops you pull-starting the engine...

This was before we realised that we could undo 2 bolts to pivot the shute.

(I should point out all safety precautions had been implemented before feeding my groundie into the chipper....) :blushing:

Although , as he was the one that blunted the blades on it by shovelling bits of gravel in with the small stuff , I was tempted to do otherwise ! :001_rolleyes:

(Chipper = MDL Powerup)
