I’d also add that even though I could fit my 1.8t digger on a smaller trailer the 1054 allows loads of extra room for buckets/attachments, can even just fit a dumpy bag in front of the digger, but also can fit a 3 ton tracked dumper in (just) and my 2.8tonner so all in all very versatile.

Fair comments, but 99% of the time the largest item we would move would be Jenson 540T @1.4t or the Tracked dumper @1.2T. We have the tipper for everything else. I can see it works for you though.

It doesn’t, my old one cracked, right where the spring hanger meets the body of the trailer- very thin section of folded steel, my GH1054 looks to be much stronger.

Yeah seen another like that too that was welded up badly.... I'd get shut of the trailer back for a 5' one but that would mean thousands to change the stump grinder for a narrower one.....

At the moment I can get tracked chipper and grinder on or the grinder and 1.5t digger.... Great for me

Would that not be Win Pins brother himself? Winstons still at it and his wife Heather mans the phones and is a delight to deal with. They had something like 200 trailers on order from Ifor so really didn’t need my custom but were ever so helpful in getting my 1054 quicker than any one else.

Yes, I believe it was.

I thought about buying used but after speaking to others, it appears that several have spent a lot of cash going through everything to get them back to perfect condition.

Heading downhill on muddy leaf covered lanes with a couple of tonnes up behind you need to be confident you can stop smartly.

Looking at the price of used it doesn't seem worth the gamble and effort of travelling around the region looking. Besides finding a gap spec. GH94BT may not be so easy.

Yeah exactly. Not worth buying use IMO, I change mine every 3 years as a matter of course, cheaper than forking out for new floor/brakes/tyres/lights/damperEtc which all start to show wear and tear after 3 years use.

If it's any help I have a GH94BT that even with some retro fitted internal tie down points will still take a TW230 VTR chipper at full width if I'm careful. Wee bit of room front and back for other kit.

Track width is the same as my Defender (but as the trailer has narrower tyres it seems to straddle speed humps better.

Tows very well - shitty roads up here and manages ok.

I'm happy so far - 2017 model bought second hand with warranty from Stirling Trailers.

Well the Jensen 540T is only 135mm longer than your TW with the TW tray up - do you think the Jenson will fit ?

I ring them tomorrow.

Can't decide wether to go for pin or ball hitch?

There is White Horse and a few others around Devon but I am not sure what they are like to work with.

Looking for the GAP spec. and its basically down to who can realistically guarantee to supply the soonest and not let me down.
