Yes most likely because i don't require a splitting Axe! it's for Clearing branches off whacking wedge etc and not so clumsy as a felling axe!

Where is the best place to get a handle I have an axe I found in the brook when walking my dog cleaned up a treat I just dont have time to make a handle

Round us Ibbetts, agricultural supplies place. When I lived in Hampshire it would have been SCATS but seems like it's turned to Moles and maybe not the same.

Regional calabri design....prob was  handy for some traditional use?

Couple of brades 7lb axes I found ... put one in brick acid to get the deep pitted rust off and it came out a bit bright though. IMG_3649.jpgIMG_3651.jpg
