Never use them for tree work, I don't really think the time they save is worth the hassle of carrying them.

 

I also think not using them makes you quicker at getting up there without them.

i agree sh i never use them, got me some nice gear that packs down to the size of a wash bag and does the job twice as well and i dont have to carry a ladder everywhere, i think it looks naff to.

How do you get up a tree without ladders then????? haha

 

I dont own any ladders but sometimes utilise them when they are propped up by the contractor.

Yeah more agg than they're worth at times although I do use ladders sometimes, I have a tiny set of ladders 3x7ft sections fits lovely in the back of a small pick up and reaches out to about 18ft.

a small 3 piece set fits on the back arms of the mog lovely dave, and really good for getting in and out the chip box with logs and sawdust:thumbup1:mine are like micks, i have had them for years.
