Hi.
I’ve worked as an arborists for over 20 years, always using Sthil 36* as an everyday ground saw.
Today a 361 broke irreparably and it’s left me wondering if after 20 years I should be extravagant and try a Husqvarna?
What are your thoughts?
What's up with the 361?

I presume you want to replace it with another 60cc saw ?   So there is Husqvarna 562XP or 560XP  both 60cc . Echo CS 590 , Dolmar PS 6100 , or your " throw away " Chinese offerings some of which seem ok others break within the week . Will be interested in your choice .

A few months ago I had the choice of a 461/462 or a 500 and I went for the 500. Regretting that now because it's currently sat in a box waiting for TNT to pick it up because the fvcker won't start.

I was working with a guy this week who has the same issue, back on his 362, reckons it’s a cracking saw when it’s running, bastard to start though, back with the dealer.

The 500 will I'm sure be a blip (I've got several other Stihls that ALWAYS start). New tech. They'll sort it. They're not going to put the injector saws out there without being confident they can fix snags.

They should have learnt enough from concrete saws to be able to use it in a chainsaw. TS500i has been out a few years now.
