yes i always try to find a solution, i’m not a big fan of the “woe is me”  option

 

what am i doing? 

im enjoying having some enforced time off work, it’s nice to tick off some jobs on my smallholding 

I won’t be claiming any money from anyone if i can help it, through hard work and leading a  fairly frugal lifestyle i’ve managed to save a bit of money that will cover the finance on my two tractors, two diggers and the heizohack as well as my mortgage and other domestic and work bills for a few months 

if this lockdown continues for the long term i might speak to my finance companies about a payment holiday and i believe my misses has spoken to our mortgage company about a payment holiday. she’s also self employed

Surely right now its about limiting the size of the financial hole we dig, not cover every cost?

I would have the same feeling but we're all going to have to pay this back whether we take the money or not. I don't think its a loan were everyone's repayments will be different.  If you don't take it, you'll still be paying it back for years to come.  I'll be taking what is offered and try to put it towards something useful.

Like I have said in previous post I have signed up for the land army....not sure how it works if they contact you or you have to chase them up? I’am ok for work up to June at mo but just waiting for the cancellations to start happening. I have been quoting 4 days out of 5 last week so people are still wanting work done but the only difference now is that instead of 2/3 going for the job it’s 5/6/7.its a catch 22 as people are spending so much more time at home and in the garden and noticing things that they haven’t before need doing such as  trees and gardens work in general are top of the list.it does seem bad at the mo but personally I feel quite optimistic about things but that’s my nature glass always half full and most of the time overflowing.i know I will get though this may be not unscathed but i’am a fighter as am sure a lot of you guys are.i won’t be holding my breath or relying on help or anything coming from the government but be sure of one thing if they don’t come good and help the SE in some way shape or form come next election the ones it will effect mite not put the cross in the box they usually do and that’s   5 million of us.

a mate of mine works in engineering and is at home self isolating,  we were ribbing him recently to see if he was gonna go back to 'exotic dancing' (male stripper in a dance troupe) like he did in the 1990's. According to his Wife he's hung loike an Aintree favourite and when he does 'the helicopter' it's usually detrimental to the the lamp shade and axminsters finest. ?
