Oh yeah, I remember them. My mum and dad used to have one, probably still have. The bamboo jobs really aren't posh, you can pick them up for a fiver in any Chinese shop. There's nothing to them apart from bamboo. Quite a piece of art actually when you look at how they're made of woven strips.

Slow cooker day today.

Back in November I got a butchered organic lamb from a customer.

Decided to do a slow cooker Morrocan stew recipe today.

Browned off the lamb bit in wok.  Then fried onions, garlic ginger and lemon zest.  Fried for a bit with spices, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon.

then added stock and honey and the rest of the lemon with Black olives.

Been on the go now for 6 hours.  Give it a bit longer and then I’ll take the bones out.

Add some fresh mint and serve.

Two legs of Irish  lamb, carved off the bone, carrots, loads of onions, roughly chopped raw potatoes wi skins on,  fried off in stonking home made chilli garlic oil, plus a full root of ginger and loads of added curry type spices.

Somewhere between an Irish stew and a curry.

Stonkingly good.

Keeping up with the lamb theme, a lamb barley stew. PXL_20250104_214112702.thumb.jpg.2043ff4cb1bec0592cdec3330d190577.jpg

Leftover lamb from a roast dinner, onions, celery carrots lamb a stock cube and some pepper. Not the tastiest tbh but then that's probably due to the small amount of meat, I will bung another stock cube and some chilli in once I've put some to one side for the baby.
