I think the last, and possibly the only thing I have put in a slow cooker was an ignition coil, as touted by Leon…

Flesh rich dining here continues. Steak with a caper and mustard sauce. Was a bit cowardly with the heat because I had butter and capers in the pan already. Needed a stronger sear on the outside for the same in the middle.

Duck and rice gruel. Boiled a duck carcass (only missing breasts), picked the bones out, added rice. Also some onions in there that I couldn't be arsed to brown. You just keep adding water and recooking it until its gone. Hope to have it licked by boxing day. Main seasoning nutmeg but you could add whatever. Add a dash of double cream to the bowl. It's delicious but rich as hell. I'm having to force myself to eat two bowls a day before I allow myself any stilton.

 

Anyone had gout before?
