This steak was probably 40mm thick, and despite the 10-12 minutes in the oven at 180 was still well-rare.

No butter needed, and the pan juices were scraped over me potatoes.

Ah haint toldt the wife yet, but I intend to resurrect an old CI Skillet for this job, it is hiding about the shed somewhere.

Missus made Keftedestonight with wedges and salad. I did take a picture but for some reason, lost it with some finger error!

Ratatouille but couldn’t be arsed to cut an onion. Aubergine, courgette and tomatoes and chilli and garlic. Dash of balsamic.
Sweet potato mash with enough butter to make the french wince.
The best kept secret in bacon. 75p/lb in ASDA. You often get gammon steaks.

Yes, saw the cook pot, and like the hanging from bucket technique very much. But there's tinfoil below it at base of fire? Maybe just yesterday's sandwich wrapper

I see no that was an old bit of timber with paint on needed some dry stuff to get it going ready for the stumps 🔥 there will be foil there tomorrow though with the potatoes 🥔 in
