2 years on, almost to the day, this tree is better than ever, even with a more sombre sky behind it.

A little later this year, blossom still pink, will turn white in a few days (like post 1 on this thread)

Pair of black birds have just started building in one of my sheds/log stores . There is a " fold up " ladder with an old billhook resting on the top . They have started building on top of the metal blade , perching on the handle before going on to the nest . I noticed them this morning and there was a few leave and bits of twig  and this evening it looks like a proper nest . Almost complete . I suppose they roost nearby until its finished and the eggs are laid ?
