Okay so you say small wild bees? Are you talking bumble? Honey or a host of others?

These details are important to know. ?

Not Bumble ( but have seen / heard the odd loner ) these are I would say the workers of honey bees . There nest must be close by but not found it yet .

Its been quite quiet round here on the Kestrel front, I am wondering if they are all mating at the moment. A fair few buzzards about though. Beautiful birds.

Seen one Kestrel and one Sparrow Hawk , they used to be plentiful . buzzards and Kites are like confetti round here . Not seen the Hen Harrier for a few years .  We do see the Peregrines or their off spring from the Chichester cathedral bell tower come inland to find territory of their own .

We have loads of Raptors here. Never see rabbits, I think it's a result of mixie from generations ago. I think that I'm lucky to have seen 100 in the18 years that I've lived here. Hen harriers aren't uncommon here,  Merlin's and Hobbies as well, although I can't tell them apart. I was told years ago that one is a winter visitor and the other is a summer one. One of the most impressive sight is the cranes going north in February then returning south when the summer ends. Thousands of them. First time I saw and heard them I thought they were geese. You can hear them during the nights going over.

Got 20 stings in one lil hole near my boot top. Nearly passed out  ?  they were mad that day! K

Hobbys (Hobbies?) Follow the swallows up from Africa, used to see them a lot in the village here, since the drop in swallow numbers I haven’t seen them in years.

Never seen a Merlin (to my knowledge) but seen quite  a few short toed eagles, you think it’s a buzzard till a buzzard flies near it then you realise it’s size.

Sounds good. Might be some hives about, I think worker bees will travel something like up to 2 miles a day or something crazy. Things are hotting up with all this Spring sunshine.
