The reviews are hilarious:

A three star review (clearly not getting the idea that a chainsaw isn't a stump grinder):

I bought this to take out some hedge stumps. First half hour was great then I started to struggle to cut through them. Overall I am happy with it though

And another, this time a four star review from a person called "Tonys mum"

I bought this a month ago and as a saw it's great but the pull on the starter motor is very stiff and difficult to start. Great product if you're very strong. I can't start it!

Does make you wonder that if someone hasn't the strength to start the saw then maybe there is a message there that you shouldn't be using one in the first place.

£99 is a cheap saw that is likely only to get light home owner use, a bit like my old dearly departed mittox which finally died after many years of hard service as a firewood saw, and if kept clean and sharp with decent quality fuel could last someone for quite a few years. My Aldi splitting maul is about 10 years old and still going strong.

I've read the Aldi/Lidl warrenty isn't all it's cracked up to be. But who knows? I bought the Lidl version recently, it's fine, starts, runs, cuts, what more can you ask for for 100 Euros? Especially when you consider the bar and chain are worth fourty-fifty bucks. The value in these saws to a pro is that they are sacrificial, for making dodgy cuts that "could" potentially end up wrecking your good saw. I know someone will say if you know what you're doing this situation should never happen, but let's be real. Also good for a loaner for those situations where you just can't say no. All in all, good buy.
