Eggs, easy for me to say since I am fortunate in that I will never be in your sad position,

since ah baint got no best mates, nor any mates in fact.

So count your blessings.

Mates you can rely on are few n far between, this fecker going n dying on me sort of lessens the numbers.

'Mates you can rely on are few n far between'

How true.  I have just two and they saw what they were dealing with which is why one is in Newcastle and the other a stone's throw from John O'Groats.

I'm also down to two now, one of them is my brother. The other is wafty, but would always come good if I needed him to.

The funeral is next Friday, I've been asked to do a speech, I'm fucking bricking it, I can talk the hind legs off a donkey in a pub, and I've more front than Blackpool, but in front of a church full of people!...

I know someday I will have to do it for my parents. The thought of it alone is daunting. This may help..

That's that over and done with then. Some faces there I haven't seen in years. Good send off for him, I guess that's all that matters.

It’s ‘most’ of what matters mate, but not ‘all.’

There are many more elements to a funeral service - not least of which the reminder, to us all, that we are mere mortals and that the life we have is precious.

Treasure every moment, don’t hesitate, live life like there’s no tomorrow - yeah, you guessed it, one day there won’t be.

Have you wrapped for the night?

I left and made my way home at half six, only had a couple of drinks. I was sick has a dog last night and feeling crap today. I've also got a phone call from a regular customer whose pumps gone down so I'll go and have a look at that in the morning
