Any views on electric stoves - the devil incarnate to many people!

Even though there have been huge improvements in the electric stove industry - not the stereotypical 3 bar fires of years gone by - this is still a diversive subject lol

Funnily enough I was thinking about one for my outside office i'm building. Think it will be too small for a wood burner.

Steve,  Max current draw on a 13 amp socket is 2kw,   therefore the max output on any electrical heating appliance using a single 13 amp plug will be 2kw or a shade below.  Like most stove retailers we all sell a few electrics, usually either to pensioners who are unable or unwilling to handle any sort of solid fuel or people just wanting to plant a small secondary  heating appliance into a conservatory or similar,

Or am I misremembering from when it was 240V = 12.5A for 3kW.

Consider a small air conditioning unit that can double as a heat pump, for small temperature differences , say 5C out and 20C in they get more out of your unit of electricity.

Most electric kettles rated at 3kw plugged into 13amp socket. Not sure where 2kw comes from, 3kw heaters are also readily available although most are 2kw.
