Any one who dont do this for the money is a complete fool. i would not be wearing my body out for fun.

We all have to work so this was something i do enjoy but the money is the motivation the skill and quality is the personal pride.

you can have all the tickets and laa dee daa in the world but if you dont have pride in your work you aint no good.

I know many so called qualifieds who are butchers

It pisses me off when i here only use a qualified climber im qualified but i started with out them my work did not become any better having them.

The point I was making is you shouldn't be doing it "purely" for the money.

That would be a complete tosser.

Of course we have to earn a living out of it, I wouldn't be doing it otherwise. :awink:

But we can still earn a decent living out of it, whilst at the same time carrying out tree work in a proffessional manner and being able to take pride in your work everytime you drive past.

If we drive past a tree we have done in the past looking the other way then we need to be asking ourselve whether this is the job we should be in.

I have to say though, I think its impolite to accuse someone of butchering trees just because they do it for money.

Reading Dodger threads from no1 to his present post on all the threads he has posted, you would have come up with the same conclusion. :awink:

He has also admitted he and some of his mates were on a wind up. :reddy:

Shame on you Ed for not looking at the whole picture :P

I think I was refering to general attiude. I do a lot of utilities work, some of which can be particularly ugly. I do it for primarily for money. But I would not like to be called a butcher.
