No doubt Bodger in the video was sniffing out a Wasps nest in that trunk. The one up my tree was half way up a very small limb going now where, pretty strange if you ask me. And its a good 8ft up too. Lots of Buzzards round here, wonder if one picked it up and put it there for tea?!

Was it wedged in a fork? I've seen a cat jump into a tree fork, the wind then closed the fork and crushed the puss....snigger.

Badger, and probably left there by poachers.

 

Around here when Badger bating was common 20+years ago, poachers used to go onto land where game keepers were keen, kill the badgers then leave them hung up on fences, gates and trees to annoy the keepers and land owners.
