Well setup your stacking system to allow for it. Not rocket science ? Opened up a pack of ash strings on monday which have been drying for 18 months inside. Re tightened about 8 months ago about not a blemish on a single 4.8 metre length string on a batch of 6. Moisture was at 12% on the meter

what would you recommend i do with these slabs of beech, i've just got 3, 5 ton ratchet straps on them, mega mega tight

they will be outside a little while before they go in the kiln

 

then a sheet of celotex over the top 

 

is there more i should be doing to make sure they don't move, they'll be for table tops so!!

Nice little mill there. I guess you can only slab up fairly small stuff with that?

2 days for me that would be. 1 of my regular saw guys who is well up to speed cutting on a woodlands HM 130 But i have an excavator for loading which takes the heavy work out of it. 2 days x 2 men but i wound maximise each log
