Looks a good setup there, can’t beat a concrete yard and a counterbalance forklift.

Yes indeed.  Most of my site is not concrete, so that is why the mill is where is it.  So we have to use a very old telehandler for the rougher boggier areas...

Been an interesting week in my wee milling world. 
 

Delivered the “garden furniture” £1400 in the hipper. 
 

 

Two light lights days milling on a traditional Deeside Estate. Knocked off at 14:00 today. 
Another £1200 in the back pocket.

 

A young Joiner wanted some oak and Ceder this evening. Another £900 in the pooch. 
 

Time to get a bigger mill. 😳

No easy coin the last 3 days Andy left home at 0500 on Thursday and got back at 0015 last night, selection of DF cladding and some oversized slabs for outdoor furniture projects and a load of elm slabs.  Right on the limit with some of them. Milled up some old greenheart beams off a job I was on over the winter for a mate, cut surprisingly well with 10/30 double hard woodmizer blades, I’d ran out of 4s so had no choice. Much happier with how the blades are cutting in general now I’m sharpening my own.

I milled the wood then built the shed as an open sided pole barn, just to cover kit and kit on trailers, but then wanted cladding to stop the snow drifting in. Bit awkward with the mill where it is but haven’t pulled my thumb out getting more hardcore, building a milling lean to and relocating.
