Today's milling

The logbullet weaves the logs (up to 4,5m)  in fine though

3 days on-site milling for a regular customer, mix of Oak,Chestnut, Ash, Elm, Walnut and beech. Few nails here and there but only had to resort to tipped blades once. The greenheart I milled recently for a pal is being put to use straight away for some outdoor furniture.

Looks a tidy set up, was that put together by yourself or is it kit ??.

i put it together myself, all the laser stuff came to just under £100, not bad at all

A decent lump of Yew...maxed out the 661 and 48"LP setup.

On the sawmill, cutting some softwood and the blade seemed to be jamming in the log then riding the clutch, resulting in the clutch getting very hot. 

Thought blade was done so swapped it out, but still doing it. 

Did couple of cherry logs the other day, absolutely fine. They were down about 4 yrs before I milled. 

The softwood has been down about 8 months 

 

Any ideas please
