Had to split a big ash down the middle with the 660 to fit it on the mizer so please excuse the poor bookmatching!
Nice timber though.. might squirrel away a pair for myself!

Bit of a disaster with the Softwood Bridge from ther Log Deck to the Mill. It snapped with a Log on it. Will need to Make one out of 4" Oak or Beach next time. A few Cargo Straps soon got me going again.

Today I was milling for a local Firewood supplier. Some European Oak he saved from the Log Pile that will be turned into a table. And some Cedar, at least he said it was Cedar, sure never smelled like it.

He’s got a lump of Walnut sitting round the back. 25”-30” diameter and 2m long. He’s held it back for 4 years but it does not look rotten at all. Hopefully I’ll get slab out of it when i come to mill it.

Out of interest. When you guys are milling and you’re charging by the hour do you charge from the time you start setting up till you’re packed up ready to leave? Or just the milling time? IMG_7457.jpgIMG_7459.jpgIMG_7460.jpgIMG_7461.jpg

Cheers Dave! My Log Deck is notched for a 4" Beam. I have some Beech milled to 4"  I'll use. Unfortunately I'll be heading back to Norway again the morn for another 5-8 weeks. :/
