From memory (might be wrong):

Aggravated trespass is criminal. Along the lines of returning to land you've been booted off within three months and/or interfering with lawful business on the land. And armed or equipped is. I think with dogs used to be criminal?

Armed with 3 long dogs ?  I'm pretty sure she was not poaching , equally  I'm pretty sure he did not threaten to shoot dogs/her  but if she wants to ply dirty ....

I don't think the dog idea has legs, unless you could show she was coursing. You'd have to be daft to make stuff up when you are trying to show she's the liar.

Dogs chasing deer would be a breech of the hunting act, but it would be up to the police to investigate and I doubt they would.

If your friend is a member of BASC, or might consider joining for a year, they would be able to advise him better. It would be worth checking their site as I'm sure they offer advice if your approached while shooting on your land (e.g. bag your gun before approaching people).

Your friend may also have legal cover on their business and house insurance, might be worth calling them for advice.

Yea . Its just a She said / he said now . The undeniable fact though is her trespass , with dogs , running down deer .......Poaching ?

Poaching bah! Report her to the police for hunting with dogs.  Once the animal rights activists get involved she'll find it best to emigrate.
