Was it paid per tree?

Id assume the Parent tree co was charging x amount per tree. Dont know how much. I was just subbing, and have a different payment arrangement with them

Thanks. I got 5 trees done that day. should've been more but for a few major hold ups. Heres one that actually cost me 30 mins or more:

That’s good going, Fair play Reg. You must Calves of steel after doing that for a day or two.
I bet on a clear day the views are fantastic

Comments ! Thanks boys. Was beginning to feel really unpopular : )

Paddy. Dont really shut down altogether mate, but get very few enquiries.

Tim, maybe a bit more at a guess. Perhaps the cuts were a round the 200 mark. 200ft rope was just off the ground i believe. Hard work yes, very intense....but still better than messing around in back gardens.

Sometimes a thread could be live for a day before it shows up in the feed.   well it does in mine...

might explain why it was quiet..   speakin of being quiet, might be an opportunity to visit  Buckin and have a chat...

A nice fireside chat chewin the fat about your work experiences.. you can always edit out the swear words after..   victor delivering mugs of tea and toast..   👍

I did drop in on him on my way home actually. I dont get up near Nanaimo very much so it was an opportunity. No video or anything, just a couple hours bullshitting. Hes a decent bloke actually.

Darrin, you often see Red cedars dying off on the tops, but not so much the firs, spruce and hemlock. The tallest tree on the island which is approximately 320 ft, a Sitka spruce, is still growing at the very tip.

Reg, I have seen a lot of your vids, and I have learnt a lot from them. Keep-um coming  😉 they are all good 😎

I think your a good teacher, even if your not really teaching.  And as always not everyone gets a dry sense of humour. And I love the real time swearing,  we’re all human from different backgrounds. 😎

Anyhow I do sniff around for new stuff to watch on YouTube, and  a vid/channel I’ve just started watching is this guy,

https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCQNyFk9bPVVrNk08mgYlByw   Early days but so far so good, for my enjoyment anyways.

Btw I would expect bucking to say you dropped by one of his new vids soon. And always looking for your new vids 😉

Cheers.

Out of courosity why are u topping them and wots the timber used for??

Was surprised just how close to the road u were dropping some big tops down.

Also this may seem a stupid question but near end of the video u were buggering about with a orange climbing line and small pulley wot was that for?

Only thing can think of for pulling the bigger saw/petrol up the tree? As u looked like u were just on ur spikes otherwise

Also why/wot is the notch u cut in the tree top i heard u commenting on the radio?

Wild guess so heli logger can grab it?? But looks close to the road for heli logging

Apologies for stupid questions but never seen 1 of ur vids before

Cheers
