Rigging direct into a trailer

I'm sure I'll get it in the neck now for talking about another thing I have no experience of but I've been doing some thinking on this and in the correct environment I'm sure it can be done.

Haven't worked out the logistics yet of course but surely a well set up pulley system could allow you to dismantle and have logs just run straight down a line and into a trailer bed. I'm sure there are many occasions when this is not viable for many reasons but my question is, is it viable? And how viable is it  you reckon?

Done it with a big Beech take down. Why rig  2-300kg lumps down to the deck. To then cut down to 90ish. To then have to lift into the back/trailer. To then have more mess to clear up.???

The Beech was rigged down under control.

makes no sense.

Damage to trailer unless it’s a big farm style trailer, unless you slow the wood down well first ( thinking speedlining rigging now though)

Yeah I was thinking it'd have to be slowed.

I'll have a practice some time soon with some light limbs off a conifer or something. Get my head round the basics.

I've rigged directly into a winched bandit.
Worked well.
4 man team.
Climber cutting, man 1 below on the capstan lowering down zip line.
Man 2 on chipper winch to release tension and turn chipper on.
Man 3 unties strop and pushes into chipper.
Man 1 pulls strop back up zip line to climber.
Repeat.
