Hedge cutting pricing.

Sorry guys I forgot the width. Hedge is approx 1.5m wide. Equipment is a large tripod ladder, standard hedge cutter and an extended hedge cutter. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

As already said between price range around £500 to £700. Crack on with price and take it from there.simpels.

I would guess at 3-4 man days. The pricing from 5 shires seems low for a weeks work for me but depends on your rates/overheads. Have you asked the client how long it usually takes to do?

Most clients start off with "It's not a big job"

Mostly I find they talk about a "really big tree" to find it is a 10m tiddler.

But if you have a rough idea of how long it'll take ie and the client says 1 man a day you know he is probably BSing!

Distance too carry trimmings?

Trimmings fall on grass or flower borders?

When was it last cut?

What machines you have/how fast you work....

 

Im guessing around 2 or 3 days.

If was the client and the contractor asked me how long it should take to do there's no way he'd get the job. I'm always a bit amazed at how pro gardeners can't price a hedge job. It's about the easiest thing to quote for, especially if the width can be cut from one side.

If you can walk, cut, and breath at the same time, 6 tanks through, and have a good clearer upper, quote him £750 and wack it in a day
