Thieves!

My Work got broke into last night, boss lives on site though and rushed up the drive to the yard upon hearing the alarms with a walking stick when in hindsight it was probably a silly thing to do because it’s more than likely there would of been more than 2 of them and if they were game and have some sort of weapon it could be good night for him.

I think you have to put as much in place as you can to stop thieves. We have at my work numerous alarms and lock ups all under one roof so would be incredible hard to actually steal anything which was the case last night, they got in and the alarm went off but all off our kit was still blocked off by other protocols we have put in place. So I guess you could say it worked.

Anyway isn’t this the exact reason we have insurance ? Be surprised if it says anything on the Insurance policy of the insurance being void if you don’t approach the thieves and have it out [emoji23] Not worth putting yourself in danger I think

Reading this a coupe of things spring to mind.

Three first is that a couple of people on here have watched FMJ a few times too many. The op basically wants to justify having the closest thing he can to owning a pistol to ward off the hordes of degenerates waiting to rape and pillage his household and leave a turd in the sink.

The second is that anybody breaking into your house just want some quick cash. Tools, teles and your porn stash are replaceable. why would you present yourself as a target by shooting somebody with a pop gun?

Personally if really felt threatened if he using the nearest blunt object for self defence, rather than a barely effective weapon that I've got no training with under pressure. You'd be as likely to press the mag release as pull the trigger. Awkward.

You read it differently to me.  I read it as a torch capable of holding 3 D batteries is a sizeable, weighty, and innocent weapon to smack someone over the head with

Object Steve, not weapon!  If you ever end up on the wrong side of the law, any words and terms used suddenly become extremely significant :D

The other thing which I do not think has been mentioned is the question of retribution.

You may win the battle and send the attacker away with a sore head or even a permanent injury and feel victorious, but his

mates may return in force and set your yard/ woodpile/ house on fire or worse. and this may continue after you have rebuilt everything.

As Skyhuck says, why start the thread if you are not going to listen to good friendly advice?

FFS. 2 or 3 times now I've said I've taken on board advice!!!

That quote is out of context. It is contrary to what I think and what I've been saying the last few posts...

That above quote is about a pellet cracking a knee cap and someone being debilitated by that, which they would be, if shot by an unrestricted high velocity pellet gun in the knee. Fact. And I don't care what anyone say to the contrary, that would happen. Utterly pathetic to use a quote specifically in regard to one thing and then generalise it to make your holier than though sanctimonious ass seem smart....
