Fawtly towers and the office are my two fave British comedies so far, inbetweeners was good too.

i don’t generally like US comedies- can’t stand the laughter track for one thing, but the humour is a bit obvious and basic compared to the British stuff. Although used to love King of Queens.

I disagree Matelot.

I saw a party political broadcast by the Labour Party last night and I was pissing myself.

I saw that as well. I thought it was a horror show though...

I delivered a load of logs to a bloke in Milton Keynes a couple of years ago who happened to be a comedy writer for channel 4, I asked him why was our comedy now crap as opposed to the seventies ie rising damp/porridge/fawlty towers etc , he summed it up by saying he has a list of all the words he wasn't allowed to mention in his scripts, black.terrorist, muslim, gay, the words went on and on.

are there no red dwarf fans here???

modern comey is for the most part fairly pants and i still watch the good old programs like porridge, bottom, blackadder, are you being served, yes minister, only fools and horses, the vicar of dibley, dinnerladies, ab fab, allo allo and of course red dwarf...

modern stuff would have to include QI, live at the apollo, a question of sport (it depends who's on of course), graham norton again depending who's on.

I think there's plenty of good panel shows but you don't get many sitcoms now, let alone good ones.

Taskmaster is the last thing that really made me laugh, brooklyn 99 and angie tribeca are good American comedies but other than not going out which isn't as good as the earlier series I can't think of anything else I watch.

Father Ted and scrubs are still my favourites.

Is it just me, or is this in a foreign language?
