STIHL MS462 DUE NEXT SUMMER

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about the arrival of the "next gen" ms462. I know the m-tronic stuff is a bit hit and miss with professional users so looking for various opinions. Personally i'm not sure. Change is good but the change has to be an improvement.

People moaned about the 461 replacing the 460 but it turned out to be just as an impressive saw as its predecessor.  I don't see why the 462 shouldn't be great also.  Alas I doubt I will get to own one

It's an awesome saw well worthy of the 46 family name!

 

Ill do a full review at the end of the week, lots of good changes, well everything but still feels familiar stihl 46.

I just hope they don’t bugger it up with the m chronic crap, I have gone rite off auto tune stuff as it’s so tedious, old Skool Stihl, husky and I’m now slowly going to Echo for various tools

 

We have a 461 and that’s a great saw

Having used both, Id be confident saying the Stihl would win. (The 461 did!)

the 572 on a 20” (hand sharpened) cutting aspen was a nice saw, nothing special though. The 462 on the 20” (hand sharpened) cutting ash, my first reaction was Fcuking hell!
