thanks for the reply - that is a bargain if the apta is worth having that is - was retailing at $199 I thought, if you're saying the big shot is better i will stick with that, havent tried fitting a bigshot trigger yet, possibly would help

I have been using srt for about 5years and find it brilliant for my aging bones. As others have said you have a few more options with srt for re-directs, but where this isn't enough I even use the old three knot system (you could still use your prussic) on the end of my line to give me a retrievable extra line. The future looks like the two srt lines though.. ... .

Watching that ive no doubt the climber is A skilled and B knows what he's doin.

Cant say i understood alot of it...most seemed to be throwing doubled ropes over forks and fannying around with what i assume are anchor points or redirects.

This is where srt eludes me,ive very little patience and if i feel it aint workin for me i'll ditch it.

Note too self...be more patient and go try srt in a reccy climb again.

Seems to be more kit available over in the states for srt like the bulldog and is it the akimbo..??
