I don't understand why anyone would. Throwbag on your climbing line will get you that far!

 

Or ladders if you can swallow your pride...

3 throws then the ladder comes out, unless it's a big un...then I bigshot it until it goes in or gets stuck!

This post has made me feel much better! I'm good at throwing but crap with a throwbag! Took an hour and a half on a big pine once, cutting only took half hour when I got up there. At the end of the day the gardener on site said a big ARB firm had spent 4hours trying to get a line up and left the job. Wish he told me that when I was throwing! APTA now, makes it so easy (if you avoid hitting deadwood over greenhouses!)?

2 hours, big douglas with really downward sloping branches. First practical branch was at 30m. Nakerd my shoulder so bad I needed surgery, but I got the branch I wanted...
