Anything smaller than a 461 is a girl’s saw and you should use those for everything until your shoulders fall out (next week). In the mean time, I’ll still have energy left to give by 15:00 because I’ve been using a 170 or a 241 all day to cut 3” conifer unions.

So you use a 461 for 3" conifer's ? as you obviously don't own a smaller saw. We are currently felling 80ft spruce on a 45° bank, the saw of choice for me is a 241 (girls saw) uses half the fuel of 461 and 2/3rds the weight and gets the job done and I can still carry it after a 9hr day, there is a saying in life that is very true and that's WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER I use my 461 for severing 3' diameter windblown spruce and processing over size and that's its job.
