Had to do a DPF regen this morning (bit naughty on a Sunday I know noise wise)

I didn’t realise these Tier 5 engines need to be used a bit and not mollycoddled, only 145 hours on it.

 

Stuck it behind the house for an house with the engine roaring till it had burnt off all the soot in the DPF.

 

Every day is a school day as they say.

No reason it shouldn’t work if you can get the right size auger fittings or an adaptor. just be aware that if the power unit is direct mounted rather than free swinging you could side load it with a long auger into earth and reduce bearing life etc.
