I've always found Bowlines far easier to undo than Alpines. Circus Bowline is nice for a midline knot

The "bowline on a bight" is an essential knot I didn't know I was missing until I seen how practical it was for heavy loading.

Double up yr rope n tie a double bowline with that- more surface area tends not to bite up as much - tho the stick is good too, kx
