It is, in my humble opinion, just as important to 'select' the customer as it is for the customer to select the service provider.  If the property has a market value less than a £zillion or if there is no helipad (or nubile twin daughters) on the back lawn, just keep on driving  [emoji3]

Not many have cottoned on to that fact, if they get their 20 year old daughter out sunbathing when the Treeman comes round to quote, it's good for a 10% reduction.

Not with me it don't.

Older kids living at home suggests more disposable income.

I do add ten ten percent to the time to do the job, to account for the lads sniffing round like dogs with a bitch in heat :D

It's a semi interesting poll, but I fear there are factors at play that skew it a bit.

1. When people say they never advertise any more, how do we know if they're charging good rates or just being busy for the sake of it.

2. If you're fencing or dabbling in landscaping/grass cutting you only need one "yes" and you have potentially a few weeks work, in domestic Arb you often have to find 5 jobs a week.

Not an attack on anyone in particular, just thoughts on the poll.

FWIW, local press/word of mouth mostly.
