some bloke comes in the pub that you don't get along with, so you ignore him and carry on chatting with people you do get along with.

some folk seem to have either no sense of humour, or are made of sugar these days.

There's a difference between not getting along, and someone being a t wat and taking liberties. That's what I took from the OP. Didn't see where misconstrued humor, or over sensitivity were mentioned. Which is why I asked that he give names and examples. Get it out in the open.
