Spoke with stihl uk this morning, as I've just ordered a 461.

The technical department said probably not released this year.

Hi you just ordered a 461, I have just bought one on sat 3 WK old only cut 2 discs of a ash stump 25" bar and chain sharpening kit was it's bargain at £550 ?

Always been on the opinion a sharp saw doesn't really need felling dogs, always happy to be proved wrong though :)

 

Me too but they can save the casing a battering. Big twin ones are a bit showy though on anything under 4 foot :laugh1:

A while back I took the huge dogs of an 056S to do a bit of milling. Then went to crosscut a pile of logs.

The chain pulled the saw exhaust into the logs repeatedly.

Bit denty.

Big dogs all the time now.

I've got a 17" 404 bar for the 880. Haven't tried it yet.
