Unfortunately it's true, if anyones in doubt put a post up on one of the arb Facebook pages asking if anyone uses arbtalk anymore and see what response there is. I think it's a shame as enjoy this site and it's helped me alot over the years by making new contacts and learning stuff so I won't be going anywhere.

Totally agree Dan. I would just like to add people should be allowed to have a general chin wag as well. If your local pub only allowed tree surgeons in and the only conversation was work how long before you found another pub

Arbtalk has been pretty poor lately, not many threads holding my interest apart from matty f posting some rigging stuff.

Mods are over censoring in my opinion,we all know the rules, were all adults yeah some halfwits will get through but warn them or ban them dont close a thread down that gets alot of traffic.

I think I can recall one or two posts in that thread that were genuinely offensive, and those were instigated by whatsisname, triggerAndy.

Other than that idiot, the thread was moving along nicely.. and, not being an arborist myself, (but I do read a lot of the threads), its nice to post on a thread thats relevant to anyone..

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
