As Josh says you should pop down the habour and try sucking a fishermans friend.:thumbup1:

Although I dont suffer from hay fever (do suffer sinus problems though) the local honey is an intersting bit of information!

I have tried the local honey but seems to make me pant more .

Anyone else suffer with this? Been getting it worse and worse the past few years. Don't have running nose etc etc, but what i do get is very short of breath. Particularly bad this year, not sure if its the rape thats about or just everything. Wondering if theres anything over the counter people take for this sort of thing? yes I know I should see a doctor, but too busy!!

chances are you are reacting to oak pollen not good for a tree worker. Try benadryl 1 a day works for me without any nasty side affects like most of the stuff i have tried. good luck bud

So quick update. Been on the Claritin and it seemed to make a slight difference. Had doctors appointment yesterday and was given an inhaler which has definitely made a lot of difference. Blood tests today

I suffer from the year round variant, rhinitis. Before I found a way of treating it, it was miserable. Nose running like a tap, red itching eyes and a raspy cough. (Think it might be a dust mite allergy). I tried loratadine which didn't touch it, then I tried Cetirizine which is really effective. I take one at bedtime so any drowsiness will work in my favour.

Timon.

I take half a cetirizine every day. Just bite in half. If I don't take it, I itch all over like hell. Doctor did blood tests and were all normal. Loratadine of no use at all. I don't really like taking them all the time, but have no choice.

Buy the cheap version's not branded. Save a small fortune, and probably made in the same factory.

Suffered badly from hay fever from an early age into my early thirties but in the last couple of years I've been a bit better and this year so far I've had no symptoms at all! Though there doesn't seem to be a lot of grass pollen around yet. It's strange but it does seem to have just got better by its self.
