All land is owned, and it's all owned by one person so it's not difficult to find out who owns any one piece of land. Just because you own the freehold and all that goes with it, doesn't mean you own the land. You don't. If you want to know who has the freehold, or any other rights over the land, then the Land Registry is the place to go.

'The land is not used by anyone'. Define use. What I consider use will be different to what others would consider use. My use may be viewed as 'not used' by someone else, but it remains used in accordance with what I want to use it for.

I'm not sure that those who advocate theft would be happy if they got home to find their house burgled, or got up in the morning to find their car gone, or got into work to find the chainsaw/chipper/trailer etc missing.

But apparently, according to some, if you're not using your car, chipper, timber or logs, anyone can help themselves.:sneaky2:

Anyway, there's a nice Harley Davidson parked up the road, it hasn't moved for a couple of months so it must be up for grabs... I'll report back on how I get on:biggrin:

If the owner of the bike comes out and confronts you bang him on the jaw.
