Best small economical van

Looking for a small economical van for our consultant ecologist to run about in. I know nothing about these things. Any recommendations or ones to avoid?

Nemo / Fiorino / Bipper. Same van but still in that order. 1.3 is very shy on juice.

Would be interested to hear if anyone uses small vans to tow a trailer and what weight they manage?

Peugeot partner and citroen berlingo are both very useful and economical vans.

My 1.6 VW Caddy does 600 miles per tank at least.

I have an older berlingo 10 plate,its a great little run about.

I use it for small jobs now and again,its a 1.6 deisel so not so economical but the newer ones are much better on the fuel side of things

A Citroen Berlingo would do the trick. No sense in going for a used one with them being so cheap new. The ex demostrator or pre registered vehicles are even cheaper still. Should do around 70mpg. I like Citroen and would always recommend them.

Avoid the wee Fords (Connect?) - heavy on fuel and tyres

I run a partner van 550 / 600 miles per tank 5 seater twin side loading doors & tows a TW150 no problem
