Thinking out loud, it would take someone considerably more mechanically minded than me, however could you not take this:

Take the barrow off and use the ram to push an arm up and down, with some large timber tongs on the end?

Hey presto........no?

Cant see why not! Certainly a lot cheaper than a ditch witch or vermeer!

where would the arm be mounted? behind the ram (push the arm up) or infront of it (pull the arm up? would that even work :blushing::blushing:)

oh, just scrolled further down the page to find more pics, and it looks like the ram is quite far forward, so i think it would be able to push an arm up, not sure it would be very high though?

I'd be tempted to rig somethin up on top of the barrow, so you can take it off in a minute or two... and like Treequip says, rather have wheels..

Tracks are OK if you spend all your time in the mud, not so good if your working on hard standing...

If the idea is to use it to drag logs about, why not a two wheel tractor?.. rig somethin to one of them... Not sure how you'd do it but I'm sure it can be done with a little ingenuity..

There already is various wheeled and tracked versions, 'the iron horse' is an ancient one with old fashioned steel wheels with spikes.

Rubber tracks aren't great esp if top soil is greasy at all will just slip and spin on any slope with a load on.

Some of theose smaller things ur as well just with a quad and an 'log arch'? (dunno if thats the correct term)

Also those smaller tracked barrows can be quite 'tippy' on uneven ground.

But it really all depends on exactly wot u need it for and how u use it, wot is great for 1 persons work style will not suit the next mans.
