From what I've read here over the years some people would expect to pay £80-£100/day for a self employed subbie. How anyone can make that work is beyond me.

I've had a few lads from Arbtalk do work for me that are nearer £200/day, they are at the top of their game mind.

To make a decent wage as subby u need to of put allot of time and dedication in honing ur skills and on top of that be prepared to travel do long days and work with all different types of lads some will be a pleasure to meet and work with others will be very testing almost to the point of wanting to walk away but that is not the way to work I find the actual tree work side of my job a pleasure and not really a challenge very often but the people seem to never stop surprising me in there various levels of competence or lack of or greed this is why I after 12 years of subby climbing all over the world I now try and do more for my self more money less travel I wish u luck in ur tree work future
