After 6 years of burning all of out waste ie sweepings hedge clippings knotty bits of wood fence panels etc, i have being warned by the powers at be i can no longer burn anything!

 

Do you know if you were reported? do you have houses or factories etc overlooking your yard?

Letter just says they have had numerous complaints with regards to burning waste. There is some houses at the top of the lane, we have always waited until the wind is going the other way but in doing that the pile ends up huge and once lit smolders for a good week :blushing:

It seems that waste is getting harder and harder to dispose of now.

I took 6 old fence panels to the local waste site, and they wanted £140 to get rid of it!

I was told I cant stack it in the yard and wait till i have a load, as thats classed as a waste transfer station.

I thought of shredding it, but then what do I do with the shreddings?

I have relatives on a farm whk can burn it, but its a 110mile round trip, so not viable

the only hope is a roll on roll off on permananet hire.
