Is there anyone who is getting this consistently every visit?

Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

Its a bit random Steve, sometimes twice in a row, sometimes doesnt happen, but yes, mostly every visit.

Do our computers log the web activity on a log file so we could see what is directing our browsers to open this page?

Never had it with firefox .

I use Firefox and I am getting this ransomeware thing every couple of days.

The simplest way to get rid of it temporarily (till the next time) without losing unsaved work on your computer is to hold down Control and Alt at the same time and press Delete. This opens up the Task Manager, click on the browser you are using and click 'End Task'.

This pest only happens with Arbtalk.

Cant you work out the originating IP then block it,

Have you checked for cross site scripting vulnerabilities as it could be that?

Theres loads of scripts for htaccess file or use a free Java such as:

<script type="text/javascript">

// Block IP address script- By JavaScriptKit.com (JavaScript Kit- Your comprehensive JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, and Ajax stop)

// For this and over 400+ free scripts, visit JavaScript Kit- JavaScript Kit- Your comprehensive JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, and Ajax stop

// This notice must stay intact for use.

//Enter list of banned ips, each separated with a comma:

var bannedips=["23.23.23.23", "11.11.11.11"]

var ip = '<!--#echo var="REMOTE_ADDR"-->'

var handleips=bannedips.join("|")

handleips=new RegExp(handleips, "i")

if (ip.search(handleips)!=-1){

alert("Your IP has been banned from this site. Redirecting...")

window.location.replace("http://www.google.com")

}

</script>
